The rains have come!

Hello all-

It's been a while since I've posted, but it's because I've been busy making cards! Check out the slide show on my blog for samples of what I've done. So, like I said in the title, the rains have come! For those of you that are unaware, it hasn't rained since Memorial Day and that was rare because the rains were suppose to be gone for the summer. Not only has it not rained all summer, but it's been sunny and cloudless the entire time! In California the seasons are a little different than the Midwest in the fact that the summer time is the dry time. Plants and grass kind of go dormant if not watered and turns brown. Our green season is in the winter; it's when we get all of our rain. It's amazing the way God works, just like clock work it started to rain. I thought people out here were pulling my leg saying it doesn't rain in the summer. Well they were right and as fall is starting so the season changes. All day yesterday I experienced little spits of rain and the whole day has sort of overcast and cloudy. Jeff and I were so proud of ourselves...last weekend we cleaned up the garage so nice and for the first time since we moved in & even fit both cars in the garage! Well, it only lasted 1 week and now 1 car is back out for all the stuff I had to bring inside so it wouldn't get wet! Last night we had a nice steady rain, unlike Missouri rain, and our gutters were broken-in for the first time. I hear that there aren't thunder storms and lightening like Missouri. They say if that happens people go crazy because they aren't use to it. Kind of like when it snows in Missouri I guess.

Well, I had better get to work, I've got a possibility of 13 or so people coming over at 2:00 PM today!! The girls are going to make cards at my class and the guys will watch football I suppose.

Take care,
~Kassi
