I tried taking photos of the kids by myself instead of lugging them both in to the photo studio, but trying to get them both to look at me and at the same time is a rather difficult task! Oliver sees the camera and runs the opposite way and if (that's a big if) I can get him to say 'cheese' he does it while looking away. So, here is my attempt at Harlan's 8 month photos (Oliver is 2). Of course it's the first windy day in weeks and Oliver seemed to wake up with a cold so I guess I am lucky I got a shot of anything. They aren't great and I am not a professional by any stretch of the word, but this is what I got. Take a look.

Lake Barryessa
What a great day we had at Lake Barryessa. The weather was perfect. Never felt too hot and the cool breeze was refreshing. It's an interesting lake with not much else around and a very scenic drive through the hills. Never saw a fast food restaurant once along our route; can you believe it? Lots of beautiful rolling hills and wineries though as we approached Napa. After spending about 4 hours at the lake we took a different route home and stopped by Taylor's Refreshers in St. Helena. We love the atmosphere there as it's a little roadside stand (nice though cause it's Napa we're talking about) with yummy over priced burgers, milkshakes, different types of fries, and of course wine. The kids were great and we had a really nice family day!

North Lake Tahoe
We had a delightful weekend with the family at Lake Tahoe. Jeff's parents went with us and his cousins drove up from San Jose for the night. We didn't have much of any relaxation time, but it was still fun. I think we all enjoyed the day at the beach most where we swam in the lake and took in the beautiful scenery. Can't wait to go back again and hopefully stay right on the lake.
