Well, as you can tell, summer is in full swing at the Ward house. We purchased season passes to the water park and although the water is a little cold we still have lots of fun. Probably just as much fun though is the kiddie pool in the back yard. Harlan even got her swim on yesterday lounging in her raft. She loved it of course.
Today marks Ellie's 6 month birthday. I can't believe my little Sweet Pea has grown so quickly. She likes eating rice cereal and just Saturday we started her on veggies. She's not quite sure what to think about carrots, but she'll eat them. I am thinking of purchasing a Magic Bullet so I can blend her own fruits and vegetables. Harlan is about to sit on her own. She'll balance a few minutes and then topple over. She rolls all over the place and it's impossible to keep her on a blanket. Her newest trick is scrunching up her face when she sees the camera or you look at her just right. I guess she's getting her flirt on as I like to say.
OBW amazes me every day. The things he picks up on is incredible. He's putting sentences together better and can get out more than just a few words at a time. The other day Harlan was getting fussy and I was trying to get the bathrooms cleaned. Oliver was by my side as he always is when I clean. Give him a sponge or a Clorox wipe and he'll go to town. Anyway, I said I guess we better go get sister. Well, I decided I should put the laundry in the dryer first and before I knew it she stopped crying. I called out for Ollie because I figured he was bothering her and he came running to me saying "sissy paci". Well, sure enough he knew just what she needed. He had gone and found her a paci and even managed to put it in her mouth the correct way. Harlan was happy as a clam and was back to bouncing in her jumper. What a sweet boy I have! He's always concerned about her and if she's upset he will come to me and say "sissy try", which means cry. There are so many more stories like that that I can't even begin to tell them all. OBW has really taken to the Cars movie. We are thinking of taking him to see Cars 2 soon and I'll report back on how that goes.
My job is a more than full time one especially now that I am working on potty training the little boy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. They make me laugh each day and even though it's sometimes chaos and I want to pull out my hair the sweet moments make up for the crazy ones. :)

Ward's go to MO: part 6
Last vacation post I promise! This is the last weekend of our vacation, which was spent at the lake. What a wonderful trip home we had seeing all of our many relatives. Best of all-the kids were able to spend time with 5 of their great-grandparents too, what a special treat!
Ward's go to MO: part 5
Harlan Ella was baptized at Messiah Lutheran Church on Thursday, May 26. We were glad so many family members were able to join us for this special celebration. Afterwards we all headed over to see the Springfield Cardinals. It was a little chilly, but we couldn't break tradition of getting the kiddos baptized and then heading to a Cardinals game afterwards. The fact that it was $1 brat and BBQ sanwich night was a bonus!
Ward's go to MO: part 4
Pictures from our trip when we visited Great-Granny's farm as well went to the lake and the ranch.
